Tomorrow’s heating system

Ecodan is a new complete heat pump system consisting of an outdoor unit with a ready-to-connect indoor module (water tank).

The new Ecodan compact and split systems simplify installation considerably. The plate heat exchanger is already integrated in the outdoor unit (compact heat pump) or alternatively in the indoor module (split heat pump). All that remains is the installation of the water and refrigerant pipes.

The addition of the indoor Ecodan module make the heat pump units into a complete heating system, as it already comprises a 200 litre drinking water tank and a circulation pump. The control unit is integrated in the front panel. Thanks to the full-scale heat pump controller, no further control equipment has to be provided by the customer.

The indoor version is available in two versions – with a plate heat exchanger for split heat pumps and without a plate heat exchanger for compact heat pumps. Thanks to its small size, the water tank can be set up in confined spaces indoors.

In this case, the ready-to-connect indoor module inclusive of its plate heat exchanger is connected to the split outdoor unit. Thanks to the connection via refrigerant pipes, distances of up to 75 metres between the heat pump and the indoor module are not a problem.
